North Pole Patriots (North Pole, AK) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their flag football team nip the host Lathrop Malemutes (Fairbanks, AK), 9-8 in a league battle.

With the win, North Pole advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Patriots travel to West Valley (Fairbanks, AK) to encounter the Wolf Pack in a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 10. The Wolf Pack go into the battle with a record of 0-0.

The Malemutes now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Wasilla for a Northern Lights battle on Thursday, September 12. Lathrop will encounter a Warriors team coming off a 36-12 non-league win over Service (Anchorage, AK). The Warriors record now stands at 5-1.
