In Friday's league challenge, the visiting Maryknoll Spartans volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Damien Monarchs.

Next, the Monarchs play the Hawaii Baptist Academy Eagles (Honolulu, HI) in a Interscholastic League challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Damien will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to San Marcos (San Marcos, CA).
