The Highlands Owls volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Sam Houston Hurricanes to 0 in the Owls non-league triumph on Friday.

The Owls now have a 10-11 record. They play next when they travel to Fox Tech for a 5A Region IV District 27 outing on Tuesday, September 10. Highlands will play a Buffaloes team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Edison (San Antonio, TX). The Buffaloes record now stands at 0-12.

With the loss, Sam Houston drops to 3-12 on the campaign. The Hurricanes host Burbank (San Antonio, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 10. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 22-5. Burbank won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Brackenridge (San Antonio, TX)
