With the win, Tascosa improves its record to 17-6 on the season. The Rebels host Monterey (Lubbock, TX) to encounter the Plainsmen in a 5A Region I District 4 battle on Saturday, September 14. The Plainsmen go into the battle with a record of 15-12.

The Westerners now own a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monterey for a 5A Region I District 4 battle on Tuesday, September 10. Lubbock will encounter a Plainsmen squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Caprock (Amarillo, TX). The Plainsmen record now stands at 15-12.
