In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Metro Christian Patriots volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Verdigris Cardinals.

The Patriots (14-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Skiatook (Skiatook, OK). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 3-8 record. In their last challenge, Skiatook was beaten by Oklahoma Union (South Coffeyville, OK), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cardinals meet the Christian Heritage Crusaders (Del City, OK) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 6. Verdigris will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 3-1 league loss to Bethany (Bethany, OK).
