Virginia High School Volleyball - Grassfield tips Western Branch

September 6, 2025: Chesapeake, VA 23323

Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA) and the visiting Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA), observed Grassfield's volleyball team hold off Western Branch by a tally of 3-2.

The Grizzlies (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Indian River (Chesapeake, VA). The Braves enter the Southeastern challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Indian River edged Hickory (Chesapeake, VA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bruins meet the King's Fork Bulldogs (Suffolk, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Thursday, September 11. Western Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 3-0 league win over Lakeland (Suffolk, VA).
