Grand Rapids Thunderhawks (Grand Rapids, MN) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the host Marshall Hilltoppers (Duluth, MN), 2-1 in a league outing.

The Thunderhawks (3-3) will now prepare for their outing against Esko (Esko, MN). The Eskomos enter the non-league outing with a 4-0 record. In their last outing, Esko tipped Spectrum (Elk River, MN), 9-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Hilltoppers confront the Proctor Rails (Proctor, MN) in a Class A Section 7 outing, on Tuesday, September 9. Marshall will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Rails enter the outing with a 2-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Denfeld (Duluth, MN).
