Palmetto Tigers (Palmetto, FL) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Booker Tornadoes (Sarasota, FL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Southeast (Bradenton, FL). The Seminoles come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Southeast lost by Bell Creek Academy (Riverview, FL), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Tornadoes now sport a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Port for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. Booker will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Gateway Charter (Fort Myers, FL). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-4.
