The Galena Pirates topped the host Freeport Pretzels volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Pirates now possess a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Hiawatha for a non-league game on Saturday, September 6. Galena will confront a Hawks squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Ashton-Franklin Center (Ashton, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 0-3.
