Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Portage Indians (Portage, IN) and the host Andrean Fighting 59ers (Merrillville, IN), saw Portage's soccer squad hold off Andrean by a score of 4-3.

The Indians (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Hanover Central (Cedar Lake, IN). The Wildcats enter the non-league battle with a 5-2 record. In their last test, Hanover Central was tipped by Hammond Bishop Noll (Hammond, IN), 9-3, in a non-league test.

The Fighting 59ers now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Morgan Township for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. Andrean will meet a Cherokees squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Boone Grove (Valparaiso, IN). The Cherokees record now stands at 3-3.
