Jonesport-Beals Royals (Jonesport, ME) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the visiting Schenck Wolverines (East Millinocket, ME), 2-1 in a non-league outing.

The Royals (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Narraguagus (Harrington, ME). The Knights go into the Class D - South outing with a 1-0 record. In their last outing, Narraguagus got by Woodland (Baileyville, ME), 8-2, in a league outing.

Next up, the Wolverines play the Machias Bulldogs (Machias, ME) in a non-league outing, on Monday, September 8. Schenck will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a 0-1 record after their 3-1 league loss to Jonesport-Beals (Jonesport, ME).
