The Varnum Whippets softball team scored 2 runs and held the host Strother Yellowjackets to 1 in the Whippets non-league win on Saturday.
The Whippets now sport a 11-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Strother for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 8. Varnum will meet a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 4-3 league win over Macomb (Macomb, OK). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-5.
The Yellowjackets (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Varnum (Seminole, OK). The Whippets go into the non-league challenge with a 11-9 record. In their last challenge, Varnum was tipped by Moss (Holdenville, OK), 9-5, in a league outing.
