The Edina Hornets volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Apple Valley Eagles to 0 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Hornets now have a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Wayzata for a Lake outing on Tuesday, September 9. Edina will play a Trojans team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (Belgrade, MN). The Trojans record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Apple Valley drops to 5-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Fillmore Central (Harmony, MN) to confront the Falcons in a non-league game on Saturday, September 6. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 4-0. Fillmore Central won 3-1 in their recent league game against Chatfield (Chatfield, MN)
