Fans at Saturday's league contest between the Doddridge County Bulldogs (West Union, WV) and the host Calhoun Red Devils (Mt. Zion, WV), observed Doddridge County's volleyball team top Calhoun by a count of 2-0.

The Bulldogs (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against South Harrison (Lost Creek, WV). The Hawks enter the Little Kanawha contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, South Harrison achieved victory over Calhoun (Mt. Zion, WV), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Red Devils now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Poca for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 6. Calhoun will encounter a The Dots squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Nicholas County (Summersville, WV). The The Dots record now stands at 9-0.
