Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Grant Community Bulldogs (Fox Lake, IL) and the host Cary-Grove Trojans (Cary, IL), observed Grant Community's volleyball team hold off Cary-Grove by a tally of 2-1.

The Bulldogs (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Warren Township (Gurnee, IL). The Blue Devils enter the non-league contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Warren Township was tipped by Buffalo Grove (Buffalo Grove, IL), 2-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Trojans meet the Marian Central Catholic Hurricanes (Woodstock, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 6. Cary-Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Hurricanes enter the contest with a 0-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Carmel (Mundelein, IL).
