California High School Volleyball - Central Valley Christian edged by Centennial

Centennial Golden Hawks (Bakersfield, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Central Valley Christian Cavaliers (Visalia, CA), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Centennial improves its record to 11-3 on the season. The Golden Hawks travel to Arroyo Grande (Arroyo Grande, CA) to face the Eagles in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 11-5. Arroyo Grande won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Santa Ynez (Santa Ynez, CA)

The Cavaliers now own a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fresno Christian for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 9. Central Valley Christian will meet a Eagles team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Hughson (Hughson, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-4.
