The Danville Bears volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Wapello Indians to 1 in the Bears non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bears now have a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Keokuk for a non-league outing on Monday, September 8. Danville will face a Chiefs squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Notre Dame (Burlington, IA). The Chiefs record now stands at 1-6.

The Indians (6-2) will now prepare for their match against WACO (Wayland, IA). The Warriors enter the non-league match with a 4-7 record. In their last match, WACO was tipped by English Valleys (North English, IA), 2-0, in a non-league match.
