Linn-Mar Lions (Marion, IA) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Dubuque Senior Rams (Dubuque, IA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Iowa City West (Iowa City, IA). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 8-1 record. In their last challenge, Iowa City West edged Waterloo West (Waterloo, IA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Rams face the Western Dubuque Bobcats (Epworth, IA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 9. Dubuque Senior will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Bobcats go into the test with a 3-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Dike-New Hartford (Dike, IA).
