In Saturday's league challenge, the host Thurgood Marshall Cougars volleyball team scored a close 3-2 win over the Dunbar Wolverines.

With the win, Thurgood Marshall advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Cougars host Meadowdale (Dayton, OH) to face the Lions in a Dayton City test on Monday, September 8. The Lions go into the test with a record of 0-2.

The Wolverines now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jefferson Township for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 8. Dunbar will play a Broncos team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Trotwood-Madison (Trotwood, OH). The Broncos record now stands at 0-2.
