Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Viborg/Hurley Cougars (Viborg, SD), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against West Central (Hartford, SD). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, West Central beat Madison (Madison, SD), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars meet the Canistota Hawks (Canistota, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Viborg/Hurley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Centerville (Centerville, SD).
