Kansas High School Volleyball - Royal Valley tips Hiawatha

Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Royal Valley Panthers (Hoyt, KS) and the host Hiawatha Red Hawks (Hiawatha, KS), observed Royal Valley's volleyball team hold off Hiawatha by a count of 2-1.

The Panthers (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against St. Marys (St. Marys, KS). The Bears enter the non-league battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, St. Marys was edged by Nemaha Central (Seneca, KS), 2-0, in a league battle.

The Red Hawks now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Silver Lake for a Big East battle on Tuesday, September 9. Hiawatha will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Royal Valley (Hoyt, KS). The Eagles record now stands at 7-0.
