Fans at Saturday's league contest between the Southeast Spartans (Oklahoma City, OK) and the visiting Marshall Bears (Oklahoma City, OK), observed Southeast's volleyball team top Marshall by a count of 2-0.

The Spartans (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Chickasha (Chickasha, OK). The Fighting Chicks enter the non-league contest with a 6-6 record. In their last battle, Chickasha dropped by Newcastle (Newcastle, OK), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Bears now own a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 9. Marshall will encounter a squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Del City (Del City, OK). The record now stands at 2-10.
