The Cherokee Braves volleyball team (Cherokee, NC), went down 2-0 in Wednesday's non-league challenge with the host Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC)

The Mustangs (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Franklin (Franklin, NC). The Panthers come into the challenge with a 9-0 record. In their last challenge, Franklin defeated Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Braves encounter the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 8. Cherokee will attempt to move on its 2-6 season record.
