Masconomet Regional Chieftains (Boxford, MA) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Beverly Panthers (Beverly, MA), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Chieftains face the Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School Rams (Hathorne, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 9. Masconomet Regional will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Rams enter the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Salem Academy Charter (Salem, MA).

The Panthers now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Marblehead for a Northeast challenge on Friday, September 9. Beverly will face a Magicians team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Bishop Fenwick (Peabody, MA). The Magicians record now stands at 2-0.
