The Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC) volleyball nudged the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), 3-2 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

With the win, Bandys upgrades its record to 5-3 on the year. The Trojans host Maiden (Maiden, NC) to face the Blue Devils in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A outing on Thursday, September 8. The Blue Devils go into the outing with a record of 5-5. Maiden won 3-0 in their recent league outing against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC)

The Cougars now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Ashe County for a Northwestern 3A/4A outing on Wednesday, September 14.
