North Carolina High School Volleyball - Union Pines tips Triton

Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC), 3-2 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A match, on Thursday, September 8. Union Pines will attempt to advance on its 6-3 season record. The Raiders come into the match with a 6-4 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Anson (Wadesboro, NC).

With the loss, Triton drops to 5-4 on the campaign. The Hawks host Western Harnett (Lillington, NC) to clash with the Eagles in a All American 3A/4A match on Thursday, September 8. The Eagles come into the match with a record of 1-6. Western Harnett lost 3-1 in their recent league match against Overhills (Spring Lake, NC)
