The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY) and the host Cumberland County Panthers (Burkesville, KY), saw Metcalfe County's volleyball squad beat Cumberland County by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Metcalfe County upgrades its record to 9-0 on the year. The Hornets travel to Monroe County (Tompkinsville, KY) to play the Falcons in a bout on Tuesday, September 12. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Monroe County won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Glasgow (Glasgow, KY)

The Panthers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Adair County for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 19.
