The Salem Spartans volleyball team (Salem, VA), was dropped 2-0 in Thursday's league challenge with the host Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA)

The Knights (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers enter the non-league challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Lord Botetourt defeated Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans meet the Blacksburg Bruins (Blacksburg, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 12. Salem will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Bruins enter the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Pulaski County (Dublin, VA).
