In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Draughn Wildcats volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Mitchell Mountaineers.
The Wildcats (8-2) will now prepare for their battle against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans come into the non-league battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, South Caldwell achieved victory over St. Stephens (Hickory, NC), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Mountaineers clash with the North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 12. Mitchell will attempt to advance on its 0-5 season record.
