The Shelby Golden Lions volleyball team (Shelby, NC), went down 2-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC)

The Warriors (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Ironmen come into the challenge with a 5-7 record. In their last challenge, Cherryville went down by Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Golden Lions encounter the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 14. Shelby will attempt to move on its 1-5 season record.
