Charleroi Cougars (Charleroi, PA) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Bentworth Bearcats (Bentleyville, PA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars confront the McGuffey Highlanders (Claysville, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 9. Charleroi will attempt to better on its 6-0 season record. The Highlanders enter the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 2-1 league loss to Yough (Herminie, PA).

The Bearcats now have a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host California for a WPIAL A 2 challenge on Tuesday, September 12. Bentworth will confront a Trojans team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Bethlehem Center (Fredericktown, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 2-4.
