South Point Pointers (South Point, OH) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Chesapeake Panthers (Chesapeake, OH), 6-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Pointers confront the Gallia Academy Blue Devils (Gallipolis, OH) in a Ohio Valley challenge, on Saturday, September 9. South Point will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 2-2 non-league Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV).

The Panthers now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Piketon for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 13.
