In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting J.H. Rose Rampants soccer squad scored a close 1-0 win over the Manteo Redskins.
The Rampants (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against New Bern (New Bern, NC). The Bears go into the Big East 3A/4A battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, New Bern nipped Fike (Wilson, NC), 4-2, in a non-league battle.
The Redskins (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Holmes (Edenton, NC). The Aces go into the Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Holmes was nudged by North Pitt (Bethel, NC), 4-2, in a non-league battle.
