Brookwood Broncos (Snellville, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Newton Rams (Covington, GA), 7-4 in a league challenge.

The Broncos now own a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lambert for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 11. Brookwood will battle a Longhorns squad coming off a 12-4 non-league win over Alpharetta (Alpharetta, GA). The Longhorns record now stands at 10-1.

With the loss, Newton falls to 1-10 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Grayson (Loganville, GA) to battle the Rams in a 7A Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, September 12. The Rams come into the game with a record of 14-4. Grayson lost 10-4 in their recent non-league game against Prince Avenue Christian (Athens, GA)
