Marshfield Bluejays (Marshfield, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cassville Wildcats (Cassville, MO), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bluejays now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Timberland for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 8. Marshfield will battle a T-Wolves squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to Troy-Buchanan (Troy, MO). The T-Wolves record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Cassville falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Monett (Monett, MO) to battle the Cubs in a Class 3 District 12 challenge on Tuesday, September 12. The Cubs enter the challenge with a record of 2-4.
