The Starkville Academy Volunteers softball team scored 18 runs and limited the host Central Holmes Christian Trojans to 7 in the Volunteers non-league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Starkville Academy moves its record to 9-4 on the year. The Volunteers host Bayou Academy (Cleveland, MS) to play the Colts in a MAIS 5A District 1 game on Monday, September 11.
