The Cook Hornets softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Jeff Davis Yellowjackets to 7 in the Hornets league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Cook moves its record to 11-0 on the year. The Hornets host Berrien (Nashville, GA) to play the Rebels in a 2A Region 1 game on Tuesday, September 12. The Rebels come into the game with a record of 4-6. Berrien won 11-4 in their recent non-league game against Irwin County (Ocilla, GA)

In their next game, the Yellowjackets play the Dodge County Indians (Eastman, GA) in a 2A Region 1 game, on Tuesday, September 12. Jeff Davis will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record. The Indians come into the game with a 9-4 record after their 15-0 league win over Sumter County (Americus, GA).
