In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Lumpkin County Indians softball team scored a nice 11-2 win over the Fannin County Rebels.

Coming up next, the Indians encounter the Wesleyan Wolves (Norcross, GA) in a 3A Region 7 outing, on Monday, September 11. Lumpkin County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Wolves enter the outing with a 10-3 record after their 4-1 league loss to Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA).

The Rebels (3-8) will now prepare for their outing against Model (Rome, GA). The Blue Devils enter the 2A Region 7 outing with a 5-6 record. In their last outing, Model prevailed over Chattooga (Summerville, GA), 14-11, in a non-league outing.
