The Lafayette County Huskers routed the visiting Richmond Spartans softball squad by a count of 6-1 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Huskers (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Clinton (Clinton, MO). The Cardinals go into the non-league battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Clinton nudged Odessa (Odessa, MO), 7-6, in a league battle.

The Spartans now sport a 0-4 record. They play next when they host Braymer for a non-league battle on Monday, September 11. Richmond will meet a Bobcats squad coming off a 12-1 non-league win over Meadville (Meadville, MO). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-2.
