Quinton Savages (Quinton, OK) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting McCurtain Bulldogs (McCurtain, OK), 11-10 in a non-league challenge.

The Savages now own a 6-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Smithville for a Class A challenge on Friday, September 8. Quinton will battle a Braves squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Wilburton (Wilburton, OK). The Braves record now stands at 17-8.

With the loss, McCurtain falls to 15-14 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Leflore (Leflore, OK) to battle the Savages in a Class B challenge on Friday, September 8. The Savages enter the challenge with a record of 8-10. Leflore lost 11-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Indianola (Indianola, OK)
