The River Ridge Knights nipped the visiting Sequoyah Chiefs softball squad by a final score of 1-0 in Thursday's league battle.

The Knights (9-7) will now prepare for their battle against Northside (Columbus, GA). The Patriots go into the non-league battle with a 10-3 record.

The Chiefs now possess a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Harrison for a non-league battle on Friday, September 8. Sequoyah will meet a Hoyas squad coming off a 9-2 non-league win over Kennesaw Mountain (Kennesaw, GA). The Hoyas record now stands at 9-3.
