In Thursday's non-league battle, the Susan Moore Bulldogs (Blountsville, AL) volleyball team nipped the visiting Appalachian Eagles (Oneonta, AL), by a count of 2-1.
The Bulldogs (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Brindlee Mountain (Guntersville, AL). The Lions come into the 3A Area 13 battle with a 7-5 record. In their last battle, Brindlee Mountain nudged Dora (Dora, AL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Eagles encounter the Jefferson Christian Academy Eagles (Birmingham, AL) in a 1A Area 10 battle, on Monday, September 11. Appalachian will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Eagles come into the battle with a 3-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Fayetteville (Sylacauga, AL).
