The Greene County Tech Golden Eagles held off the visiting Batesville Pioneers volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's league test.
The Golden Eagles now have a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley View for a 5A East test on Tuesday, September 12. Greene County Tech will confront a Blazers team coming off a 3-0 league win over Paragould (Paragould, AR). The Blazers record now stands at 7-4.
The Pioneers (3-5) will now prepare for their test against Nettleton (Jonesboro, AR). The Raiders enter the 5A East test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Nettleton was nudged by Brookland (Brookland, AR), 3-0, in a non-league test.
