The Columbia Cougars volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Bloomfield Bengals to 1 in the Cougars league victory on Thursday.
The Cougars now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nutley for a non-league game on Saturday, September 9. Columbia will meet a Maroon Raiders team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Dayton (Springfield, NJ). The Maroon Raiders record now stands at 1-1.
The Bengals (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Montclair (Montclair, NJ). The Mounties enter the game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Montclair was nudged by West Orange (West Orange, NJ), 2-1, in a non-league game.
