The Golden Valley Grizzlies held off the visiting Canyon Cowboys volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's league test.

The Grizzlies now have a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Saugus for a Foothill test on Monday, September 11. Golden Valley will confront a Centurions team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Saint Joseph (Lakewood, CA). The Centurions record now stands at 21-3.

The Cowboys (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Whittier Christian (La Habra, CA). The Heralds enter the non-league test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Whittier Christian was nudged by Rosary Academy (Fullerton, CA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
