The Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA) volleyball overcame the visiting Crawford County Eagles (Roberta, GA), 2-0 in Thursday's non-league outing.
With the win, Lamar County upgrades its record to 8-6 on the year. The Trojans host Heard County (Franklin, GA) to play the Braves in a 1A Area 4 outing on Tuesday, September 12. The Braves go into the outing with a record of 11-7.
The Eagles now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Upson-Lee for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 12. Crawford County will play a Knights squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA). The Knights record now stands at 3-17.
