Georgia High School Volleyball - Lithia Springs edged by Douglas County

The Douglas County Tigers held off the visiting Lithia Springs Lions volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league game.
The Tigers now possess a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Paulding County for a 6A Area 5 game on Tuesday, September 12. Douglas County will meet a Patriots team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Cartersville (Cartersville, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 1-13.
The Lions (4-5) will now prepare for their game against Tri-Cities (East Point, GA). The Bulldogs enter the 5A Area 5 game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Tri-Cities nipped Washington (Atlanta, GA), 3-0, in a non-league game.
