The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Orangefield Bobcats (Orangefield, TX) and the visiting Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns (Hamshire, TX), saw Orangefield's volleyball squad beat Hamshire-Fannett by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Orangefield upgrades its record to 10-5 on the year. The Bobcats travel to Kirbyville (Kirbyville, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 3A Region III District 22 bout on Friday, September 8. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Kirbyville won 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against Hemphill (Hemphill, TX)

The Longhorns now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Buna for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 9. Hamshire-Fannett will play a Cougars squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Kountze (Kountze, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 19-11.
