Massachusetts High School Volleyball - Mount Everett Regional crushed by Taconic

The Taconic Thunder topped the host Mount Everett Regional Eagles volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Thursday's league test.
The Thunder now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Holyoke for a Pioneer Valley - Central test on Monday, September 11.
The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Mount Anthony (Bennington, VT). The Patriots enter the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Mount Anthony gained a win over Hartford (White River Junction, VT), 3-0, in a non-league test.
Match Summary
Both the Taconic Thunder JV and Varsity teams opened the season with 3-0 victories over Mt Everett! Mt Everett is a really strong team this year and our victories didn't come easily.
For the JV team it was Setter April Soasti controlling the court with her 8 assists, 3 kills, 2 digs and an ace, along with awesome serving from Amalia Lamb-Gardiner and Aurora Rise-DiMarco who each had 13 aces!
For the varsity team we had a well rounded attack with Libero Natalia Dos Santos leading the way with 22 digs, 8 aces and 2 kills from the backcourt! Nevaeh Williams had 5 kills and 8 assists, Ella Stodden had 10 assists, 12 digs and 5 aces, and Sophie Aubin added 7 aces. This is a great starting point for us and I'm really excited about the future of this team!
