Match Summary
Redlands faced a spirited opponent in Xavier Prep (Palm Desert). After losing to the team last year in Palm Desert (one of only 9 losses all season), Redlands was looking for revenge. Unlike the previous day against La Quinta, Xavier Prep remained very competitive throughout the match. Xavier Prep had a strong middle in 6'3" Alyssia Castro, who was able to block hits from the ten foot line. Redlands fought back, and the tandem of outside hitters Julia Tolstova and Saniyah Sobers, combined with kills and blocks from Diana Castro and Olivia Estes in the middle, with strong digs from Ava Reyes, Lauren Reiter and Saniyah Sobers, along with ace serves from Sofie Farrokhi, and some clutch kills by Maddie Humeston, led for Redlands to never trail, and sweep Xavier Prep. Next game is the start of Citrus Belt League action, with the 11-0 Redlands Terriers facing cross-town rival Citrus Valley High School at home in Terrier Gym.
